ABOUT OLC
Oman Logistics Center (OLC) is the backbone to make the Sultanate of Oman a global and sustainable logistic hub. It has been established as a part of the Sultanate of Oman’s Logistics Strategy 2040 (SOLS 2040), and an enabler to achieve it using the latest technologies that are going to raise the national occupancy standards for Oman’s labor force, as well as mitigating the sector’s challenges, and providing development and support for logistic sector base.

OLA is a non-government and non-profit professional logistics association, registered under the regulations governing the formation of societies with the Ministry of Social Development in 2018. OLA in collaboration with all stakeholders aims to enhance, develop the logistics industry, and increase its GDP contribution in line with 2040 Oman Vision.




ABOUT THE AWARD & OBJECTIVES
The Logistics Best Practice Award symbolizes the activation of the existing cooperation programs between the Ministry of Transport, Communications & Information Technology represented by the Oman Logistics Center and Oman logistics Association in developing and enhancing logistics services in both hubs and levels and making them regional and international leaders. The award will be awarded to the best practices to the most innovative projects in all logistics activities over the past 12 months, and the awards ceremony will shortlist and introduce leading institutions/companies and projects that have developed best practices in logistics. The award aims to:

Raising the efficiency of the sector and enhancing the competitiveness of companies

Enhancing the competitiveness of the commercial efficiency of small and medium enterprises in the logistics sector.

Technically recognized as industry best practice, using innovative approaches or techniques that improve operational efficiency and effectiveness in terms of reducing resources, time and/or size of the economy, and improving profitability so that it benefits the company and the industry as a whole.
Omani Products and Services
Companies that increase the use of locally manufactured products and/or services and that maintain and improve local business and supply chain partnerships. It allocates part of its work to small and medium enterprises.
